School Hours

School starts at 8:00 am and ends at 2:15 pm Monday - Friday.

There is no supervision for students before 7:30 am. 

Students should be picked up no later than 3:00 pm.

Attendance Procedures

If your student is absent, please call our ATTENDANCE HOTLINE (925-682-8000 x5090) or email at VVMSattend@mdusd.org within 72 hours to let us know why your student is absent.

You do not need to come in the office to clear an absence.

Speak clearly and list the following or put the following in the e-mail:

Student's last name (spell please), first name, grade, date(s) of absence, reason, your name, your phone number, and your relation to student.

Please speak slowly and clearly.

Homework Club takes place in Room C2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15-3:15.

Chat with the Administration

On the first Friday of each month, VVMS hosts Chat with the Administration at 9:30 am in the Library.  

VVMS parents, come by for refreshments and conversation!

The office will be open every week day till June 30, 2019 and most week days in July, closed July 4th, July 5th, July 29, July 30 & July 31.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST WAIVER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District at a regular board meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on June 24, 2019, at the District Office located at 1936 Carlotta Drive, Concord, California 94519, will consider seeking a waiver from the State Board of Education of the requirement that the establishment of trustee areas and adoption of a “by trustee area” election process be submitted to the electors as set forth in Education Code §§ 5019 and 5020The Board invites public testimony regarding this matter.

Diablo que tendrá lugar a las 7:00 p.m. del 24 de Junio de 2019 en la oficina del distrito localizada en 1936 Carlotta Dr. Concord, California 94519, se tendrá en consideración solicitar a la Junta Estatal de del Estado una exención del requisito del establecimiento de áreas fiduciarias y que la adopción de un proceso de elección “por área fiduciaria” se presente a los electores según establecido en el Código de Educación §§ 5019 y 5020. La Mesa Directiva invita al público con sus testimonios sobre este tema.

Interdistrict Transfer Request for 2019 - 2020 school year

Request period is from March 15, 2019 – August 2, 2019.  This type of transfer is for students who reside within MDUSD boundaries and are requesting a RELEASE from MDUSD to attend a school in another district or students who reside outside MDUSD boundaries and want to attend a MDUSD school.  Please Direct Parents to MDUSD.ORG – Parents and Community, Parent Portal, Quick Links (right side of the page), and select Transfer Information

End of Day Policy

Dear Parents,                                                                                                         At 3:00 the gates will be closed and anyone still waiting for a ride will be instructed to remain in front of the Multi-Use room.  There will be no supervision after 3:00 and students should be leaving campus.  Students who are under supervision with a teacher will be walked out to the front when their activity is over.  Thank you for making arrangements for your students after school.
