ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES

If your student is absent, please call our ATTENDANCE HOTLINE (925-682-8000 x5090) or email at VVMSattend@mdusd.org within 72 hours to let us know why your student is absent.

You do not need to come in the office to clear an absence.

Speak clearly and list the following or put the following in the e-mail:

Student's last name (spell please), first name, grade, date(s) of absence, reason, your name, your phone number, and your relation to student.

Please speak slowly and clearly.

Si su estudiante esta ausente, por favor llame nuestra LINEA DE ASISTENCIA (925-682-8000 x5090) o un correo electronico a VVMSattend@mdusd.org    en las primeras 72 horas de la ausencia para darnos la razón de la falta.

Usted no tiene que venir a la oficina para reportar la ausencia y puede dejar mensajes en español.

Deje un mensaje claro y de la siguiente informacion:

Intradistrict transfer requests for the 2020-2021 School Year

  • Elementary Intradistrict Transfers 2020-2021 - All Elementary Intradistrict Transfer applications will be available at the same time. Therefore, the online application for Intradistrict transfers (new TK/K and current K-4) will now be available at mdusd.org/transfers February 10, 2020 – March 10, 2020.  For more information please visit mdusd.org/transfers.

 

  • Secondary Intradistrict Transfers 2020-2021: The online application for secondary Intradistrict transfers (current grades 5-11) will be available at mdusd.org/transfers October 15, 2019 – November 15, 2019.  For more information please visit mdusd.org/transfers.

Parent volunteer needed - DLAC

Valley View is looking for a parent volunteer to be our District English Language Advisory Committee (DLAC) member.  This involves attending a once a month meeting at the Willow Creek Center that focuses on how the district is seeking to support English Learners. The volunteer with then communicate to Valley View the ideas that are presented at the DLAC meeting at a once a month School Site Council meeting at Valley View, or via email to Mr. Bushnell or Mrs. Sullivan.  The DLAC meetings are in English, with Spanish interpretation.  Child care and a meal is available at every meeting. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Bushnell or Anarosa Rivera at the school.

 

Valley View está buscando un padre voluntario para que sea nuestro Consejero de Comité del Idioma Ingles (DLAC). Esto involucra el tener que asistir a una reunión al mes en Willow Creek Center la cual se enfoca en cómo ayudar a nuestros aprendices de inglés. Academic Calendar 2019 - 2020 

School starts at 8:00 am and ends at 2:15 pm Monday - Friday.

There is no supervision for students before 7:30 am. 

Students should be picked up no later than 3:00 pm.

On the first Friday of each month, VVMS hosts Chat with the Administration at 9:30 am in the Library.  

VVMS parents, come by for refreshments and conversation!

“Parents, please remember new meal applications must be submitted for the 2018-2019 school year to receive lunch and breakfast for free or at a reduced price. The meals being served are healthy and nutritious that supports your student towards academic achievement. If you have any questions or need help please call Food & Nutrition Services at (925) 682-8000 extension 4124. You may also submit meal applications online at the MDUSD Food & Nutrition Services webpage click here. Thank you” 

Dear Parents,                                                                                                         At 3:00 the gates will be closed and anyone still waiting for a ride will be instructed to remain in front of the Multi-Use room.  There will be no supervision after 3:00 and students should be leaving campus.  Students who are under supervision with a teacher will be walked out to the front when their activity is over.  Thank you for making arrangements for your students after school.
