Linkbot Roboplay Club

The Linkbot Roboplay Afterschool Club- First meeting: TBD

Valley View will host this year's first after school Linkbot RoboPlay Club meeting to be announced. The meetings take place on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m..  Students from sixth, seventh, and eighth grade are welcome to participate.  Ms. Jones & Ms. Stauffer serve as the club faculty advisors.  Students from College Park serve as mentors and co-learners.

Club members will work with Linkbots, motorized robot models with a variety of accessories developed at the UC Davis Center for Integrated Computer and STEM Education. They will learn to program the robots using C++ programming in a student-friendly program environment. Club members will also work with other forms of robots and programming as well, which is really exciting.
Parents/guardians may sign up to bring snacks each week by clicking on the link above.
Participants are required to have the signed permission slip and media release to participate.
Students interested in the club should go to S2 on Wednesdays after school. Questions can be directed to Ms. Jones at
Students who would like to join later in the school year are welcome as well.
This club and other robotics clubs in MDUSD middle schools are fully funded by the Marathon Foundation. We are grateful for the company's support for hands-on and work skills education for MDUSD students.
