Early Lunch Dismissal:  All students in the B wing.


12 Days of Friendship Challenge:  VVMS will be participating in this new challenge from now through December 21.  Instructions and game sheets have been distributed in your 7th period classes.  Follow the instructions, participate in each daily friendship challenge and get a teacher or other campus adult to sign off each day.  If you participate all 12 days and get your form approved daily, you will be invited to a pajama party during lunch on Friday, December 21.


Green Club:  Meeting TODAY in C8 during lunch.


Rainbow Club:  Meeting TOMORROW in A5 during lunch.


Writing Club:  Meeting TOMORROW in D8 during lunch.


Reminder:  Hats, including beanies, are not allowed in class.  They will be confiscated if worn in class.


Music Department Winter Concerts:  Our very own music department will be performing two concerts this week.  They will be held in the multi-use room, starting at 7 PM.  Free to attend.  Come and listen and give support to your classmates!

Soccer Photos:  We are in need of photographs from this year’s soccer season. If you have some action shots of the teams during the games, or have any good ‘buddy pics’ from before and after the matches or practice, please send them to us so we can include them in the yearbook. Summer Photos:  The yearbook staff wants your summer photos!  If you have a digital photo, attach and send it to If you have a print photo, you can write your name on the back and drop it off in Mr. Nunan’s box or the Yearbook room in S3. Please keep photos school appropriate. (no bathing suits, etc.) Photos will be due by January 11, 2019.


8th Grade Baby Photos:  The yearbook staff will be putting together an “8th Grade Baby Photos” page in this year’s Yearbook.  If you have a print photo you want added, please bring it to Mr. Nunan in S3. Be sure to write your name on the back so we can return it to you after it has been scanned onto our page. All picture submissions are due by January 11, 2019.



Cookie Ingredients Jar Holiday Gift:  Leadership will be offering students an opportunity to purchase a jar filled with chocolate chip cookie ingredients for $5.  Leadership students will take your orders/payments at a table in front of the Jaguar Den during lunch from TODAY, December 11 through Thursday, December 13.  Return to pick up your cookie jar, and decorate it and make a gift tag on Tuesday, December 18.  These will be great holiday gifts you can give to someone special.


Snowman Drawing Contest:  Come to the Jaguar Den on December 12 and 13 and draw/color a snowman design.  All participants who complete the project will earn 10 house points. The winner will receive 30 house points and a surprise.  Afterwards, all art will be put on display in the case near the office.  Come and participate in this free event!


Winter Wonderland:  Leadership will be holding a Winter Wonderland on Thursday, December 20, from 5:00-7:00 PM.  We will be having a holiday carol sing-along, holiday crafts, Christmas cookie decorating and a showing of two movies.  We will also have food for sale.  This is a free event, but you will need to have turned in a signed permission slip no later than Monday, December 17th, in order to attend. 


Winter Academic Festival:  Leadership students will be hosting an academic rewards festival on January 18, during 1st period (end of the day).  The party is open to all grades to celebrate academic achievements.  Students who received all As or Bs for the first semester (quarter 1 and quarter 2 combined) or students who have improved their GPA 0.5 points from quarter 1 to quarter 2 have the option to attend this festival.  There will be free food, music, games, special guests, a raffle, and other fun activities. Continue to work hard this quarter to earn your place!
