MDUSD School Counseling Vision & Mission
Vision Statement
Students will graduate from Mt Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD) as critical thinkers, effective communicators, and compassionate individuals who embrace diversity, advocate for themselves and others, and contribute positively to their communities. MDUSD students will discover their spark for engaging with the world around them, developing meaningful relationships, and pursuing fulfilling careers. By fostering strong academic foundations, social-emotional well-being, and college and career readiness, we ensure that all students leave our district equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Mission Statement
Mt. Diablo Unified School District (MDUSD) Counselors are dedicated to ensuring all students have equitable access to academic success, personal development, and career readiness by working closely with families and other members of the school community. Serving students from TK-12, our program offers age-appropriate services, removes obstacles to success, and empowers students to explore new opportunities as they work toward graduation, college, and career success. By collaborating with educators, families, and the broader community, we aim to enhance students' personal growth, resilience, and self-awareness, while helping them reach their full potential for success both in their academic journey and in life beyond school.
