Volunteering Information

Parent Volunteers

No matter your schedule, there are volunteer opportunities for you at the school and in the community. As with all schools, volunteers are a vital component in the school culture. Parent Patrol, library, and learning center supervision are needed on a daily basis. Fundraisers, hospitality, dance chaperones, accelerated reading program, Walk Thru day, and honors dessert all require volunteer support throughout the year.

You must have your fingerprints on record at MDUSD, and you must have a current TB test on file in order to volunteer at the school. If you have already been fingerprinted for another school in our district, please let us know and we can look it up for you. You may also bring in the page you were given at the time of clearance.
Information can be found here: http://www.mdusd.org/volunteer

Parent Patrol

We need 4-6 Parent Patrol volunteers to patrol the campus at lunchtime each day. Only two VVMS employees are available to keep an eye on over 900 students. If you can help out, just go to the office at noon to sign in and receive instructions. You'll need to be able to stay until 12:45 p.m.

Parent volunteers must be fingerprinted by the school district and have a current (within last two years) TB test.
