Parents are welcome to volunteer at Valley View. We have a variety of ways that you can help. The one common thing is that you must have your fingerprints on record at MDUSD, and you must have a current TB test on file. If you have already been fingerprinted for another school in our district, please let us know and we can look it up for you. You may also bring in the page you were given at the time of clearance.

We have partnered with the Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) to fingerprint on our behalf. The fingerprinting cost is $32.00 + a $25.00 rolling fee (totaling $57.00). If the volunteer is willing to pay that, the process is as follows: The volunteer will come in to Personnel at VVMS and drop off their TB test, and completed volunteer letter, or complete one while in the office and address an envelope. The volunteer will complete the Live Scan Form while in the office. The office will block out the Agency Billing # BIL-110182, then photocopy the Form for their records. The volunteer will take the original Live Scan Form with them. The office will not collect any money. VVMS will be provided with the results of the background check, as usual. No personal checks. Applicant will bring the Live Scan Form and Photo ID.
